In 2018, I stepped into the role of Product Owner and Channel Manager of www.mebank.com.au, an Online bank owned by the Industry Superannuation Funds with just under 500,000 active customers. In this role I was responsible for managing the website development backlog, budget, and roadmap in order to maximise the value that this channel to our customers as they research, apply and self-serve on this key digital channel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing, uplifting and driving the insights we derived from ME’s online analytics and AB user split testing program in partnership with a key vendor so that we can continually optimise of ME’s website and online application form funnels. In this role I demonstrated an ability to stakeholder manage, remove blockers and drive innovation and change across the ME website and key origination and growth initiatives as an agile product owner.

FEATURES & RESULTS
HIGHLIGHTS
- Launching 'The Feed', a new blog section of the website to showcase content to help customers and propspective customers learn about how to better manage their money, save and get into their own home. Increasing traffic by 190% the year after the relaunch and another 29% the following year.
- Building a new suite of tools and calculators such as new term deposit & savings calculators, updating the borrowing power & home loan comparison calculators
- Building a new quiz based lead capture tool for the lifecycle marketing teams
- Launching a new Microsoft Azure based predictive search engine that lead to a 300% (yes... 300%) increase in site search speed
RESULTS
Overall results across the entire website during this period:
- 33% YoY growth in SEO traffic
- 10% increase in application conversion rates for savings & deposits products
